On a job site, you see it right away: a glazed wall can be beautiful, but it can also let cold in during winter and cause overheating in summer. So-called "low-emissivity" treatment offers a simple answer: an almost invisible layer that sends heat back the right way, without changing the light. For you, it's a concrete lever to improve comfort and secure the performance figures you've promised the client.

More efficient glazing warms the interior surface, but it doesn't offset high humidity. On the product data sheet, first look for Ug (the glazing alone) and Uw (the complete window). A good low-E double glazing often targets a Ug around 1.1 W/m².K, but the final Uw also depends on the frame. Check for a "warm edge" spacer and the presence of argon (or krypton) between the panes. On the compliance side, your RGE certification must cover window installation. Keep the signed quote, sworn statements, internal control sheet, proof of purchase, and installation instructions. Clear traceability limits callbacks and secures files in case of an audit: to also frame the administrative side, rely on the legal obligations from handover onward, with complete documents.
